Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Oversees all jetty/barge activities associated with vessel cargo loading, unloading and dispatching from jetty/barge
  • Manage effective relationships with logistics offshore, onshore, vendors and local personnel to expedite routine and urgent requirements
  • Coordinates the movement of cargo at the jetty/barge according to vessel routing and load plans
  • Manage the terminal P&L to meet established budgets and forecasts
  • Effectively lead the business unit through people, process and technology
  • Responsible for global customer relationship and business development
  • Develop business goals and monitor results; facilitate actions to improve performance as appropriate with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Oversee all dispatch, planning and document management functions
  • Manage operational performance, including on-time pickup and delivery, volume, equipment balance
  • Maintain a safe, efficient and orderly terminal office and yard; ensure staff is properly trained on all policies and procedures
  • Responsible for Lifting and Rigging operations, including maintenance and certification of equipment and appliances and planning and risk assessments of tasks
  • Manage operation of cargo storage and export, ballast control, and power management system.
  • Responsible for overall sea worthiness of the vessel and soundness of the structure.
  • Salary: 2500 USD plus per month + Local allowance and shared accommodation (Bachelor Status)
    Air Ticket and LTA once a year

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience with marine systems operation and maintenance, with at least one year experience as a Barge Supervisor with another drilling contractor on a Deepwater vessel
  • Must have a valid Barge Supervisor license
  • A previous experience in Nigeria/Africa will be a plus.
  • Assists the OIM in any emergency
  • coordinates actions to minimize and control damage.
  • Makes recommendations for continuous improvement to the Integrity Management System (IMS)
  • Performs all duties in accordance with the Permit to Work System
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Time management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal, Self-Management and Leadership skills
  • Strong sense of professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect trade secret
